Family Time and Layouts

Blog Prompt - What does your family time consist of?

Since my hubby and I are suppose to be retired, we do have some time on our hands to football and a few day trips now and again and our occasional "date" we enjoy so much. But we also have a painting business to run, I have an online business and we also manage our rentals. So we are busy sometimes and then we have some down time. Just spending time with my hubby, no matter what we are doing, is special to me.

After the holidays are over my business will slow down and I will be able to catch up on the books and get ready for the dreaded tax season. Yuk!!!!

I want to wish all my friends, family and blog readers a very Merry Christmas and I hope Santa brings you everything you truly want.

I have a couple of layouts to show off today.

The first one I used a kit called Frozen by April Staker. So bright and yummy. You can find it here.

The next layout I used Julie Marie Designs new kit called Frosty Santa and it is so cute and colorful. You can find it here .

Ultimate Husband Sacrifice

ULTIMATE HUSBAND SACRIFICE

I know my husband loves me truly because he did the thing no man ever wants to do.

Buy feminine protection at the Walmart!

Since I am slowly going through menopause, and I mean slowly, I never know if or when my period will come. Even though I still keep up with it on the calendar. What a joke!! Anyway, my day was Saturday morning and when I went to use one of my pads, there was just one. I knew that one wasn't going to last long and my DH was going to Walmart to have a tire looked at.

So I gave him that pitiful, my tummy, I'm having a really bad period, look on my face and he said he would get them for me. I showed him the packaging and off he went without flinching. Wow!! What a great husband to do this for me.

Little did I know, his devilish little mind was working over time to get me back for this. He came home, got out the car and I kept asking him for my bag because I was needing a pad really bad!! Of course, he had to show me what else he purchased at Walmart for himself first. He said, "There was NO way I was going to check out with just those pads, so I had to buy some men items to try and cover them up."

I think all you ladies knew what I was doing at that very moment. Yup, rolling my eyes. He bought a tool box and some wrenches!! And the whole time he was showing them to me so proudly, he was imitating The Tool Guy and doing that stupid "ar ar" sound he makes.

But, I knew in my heart and in my devilish mind that trying to cover up my huge package with simple little tools didn't happen and I know the cashier lady had a good laugh after he walked out of the store. OH and on top of that, he checked those items out at the tire area of Walmart!!

Don't you just love men!!

Mistletoe Fun and Layout

Blog Prompt - Things you would NEVER do for money

This prompt won't take long. My answer would be HAPPINESS!! Oh, who wouldn't want more money, but not for happiness. Money is something to enjoy and help others with.

Many people quote, "Money is the root of all evil", which isn't really what that verse says. The correct verse is, "For the love of money is the root of all evil". Loving money more than yourself, family and friends is wrong. And we do seem to see a lot of that more and more. Wealth isn't a measurement of a person. I consider wealth being my family, friends and my love for God.

Mistletoe Funny

I love cute and funny videos and here is one poking a little fun at being under the mistletoe.

What I Can Live Without

What modern conveniences do you feel you could not live without.

I don't have a lot in my life anyway, but there are few little things that I just don't think I could do without.

1. Chocolate - I do believe I would start a war if that wasn't around.

2. Midol - Do I even need to explain this to anyone!!!!!!!!!

3. Vacumn - Yea, I could live without that THING, but then the house would look like crap.

4. Washer/Dryer - I ain't going to the stream.

5. Microwave - Because I am too lazy to bend over and put the pan in the oven.

6. TiVo - My most entertainment ever.

7. My Computer - I think not and no one should EVER come near it!!

8. Cell Phone - I don't have one, so I guess I can live with out it. :)

9. Books - I still need to learn stuff.

10. My Memory - but age is taking that from me slowy but surely.
