Favorite Children Books and Layout

In honor of Beatrix Potter's birthday, tell us about some of the books (as a child and an adult) that you have loved over the years.

I loved Dr. Seuss books so much when I was a little girl. The Cat and the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham were my favorites. I always tried to imagine eating green eggs and ham!! YUK!!

I read alot of Dr. Seuss books to my son because they made him laugh. But, my favorite one to read to him was Goodnight Moon. Always the best book to read before he went to sleep. He was also one of those kids that you couldn't skip a page. He would let you know about that for sure.

Massage Bed

Soothing Relief Comes At Light Speed - Jade acts as a powerful transformer, changing light from technologically advanced helium projector bulbs into a special wavelength of light called Far Infrared. This Far Infrared light delivers an unprecedented deep-tissue body penetration of several inches. As such, it can reach the major organs and deep muscle tissue more effectively (LightSpeed) and safer than any other form of heat and light. This amazing light absorption level provides detoxification, moxibustion, and soothing relief all over the body from ailments.

Built in MP3 Player headphone set - Listen to your favorite music while you relax at the speed of light!

The Chiropractic Masseuse - Takemi Jade Vista 5000 Massage Bed works to relieve back problems and chronic posture related symptoms by reducing muscle spasms and promoting correct vertebrae alignment. When the muscles are intensely bathed in deep tissue LightSpeed rays, they relax and release toxins that would otherwise block the body's natural restorative blood flow. Maximum full-body circulation and relaxation is afforded by the exclusive deep rolling massage in both the upper and lower body regions. As the muscles relax, natural Chiropractic adjustments occur within the skeletal frame, encouraging healthy and proper re-alignment of the spine and easier manipulation in practice by the Chiropractic Professional. Immediate Relief, Relaxation, Health & Vitality - The combination of comprehensive deep-tissue roller manipulation and deep-tissue body penetration of Far Infrared light & heat (LightSpeed) work to significantly realign the body to a more healthy and balanced chemistry and posture. This aids Chiropractic Professionals and their patients in achieving a new found level of relaxation, recovery, vitality and satisfaction within their clinics and homes.

What a wonderful bed this sounds like and any kind of message action would be great on tired bodies after a long day of work.

Man on the Moon, Layout and Florida Boxer Rescue

Neil Armstrong first walked on the moon on this date in 1969. Write a description of walking on the moon or tell us about this event if you remember it.

I remember watching this at my grandmother's house and it was late at night. I was just so memorized with the idea that there really was a man in the moon now!! I was 12 and very impressionable, and just couldn't keep my eyes off of that tiny black and white tv. Of course, I had to run outside and see if I could actually see the man in the moon. What a wonderful day that was for our country and now we fly into space in an airplane type space ship. How far we have come in such a short period of time.

I have a layout I did this weekend for April Staker. She has a great grab bag in her store right now and a new kit called Remarkable. She is also running a 30% sale in her store. Don't miss out on some great deals.

I am very pasionate about dog rescue and I would love for everyone to take a look at the video below of rescued boxers from Florida Boxer Rescue. If you live in the Florida area and are considering a great dog, please look up FBR.

We were very pleased with their service and how they handled the adoption. And, of course, we couldn't be happier with Ernest.

The picture that I used in this layout was taken the day he came to us. He posed so nicely while I took the picture.

Taking Control

Taking Control: Future Therapies for a Host of Serious Diseases May Be Found in Women's Menstrual Blood

July 07, 2008: 01:28 PM EST

OLDSMAR, Fla., July 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- With today’s hectic lifestyle, where most women are juggling careers, family, relationships, and a host of activities, the idea of possibly facing a serious illness in the future is not something that readily comes to mind -- especially when a woman is in the prime of her life. But what most women don’t know, is that the key to treating a number of possibly life-threatening diseases that she, a parent, a sibling or even her children may face in later years, such as osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, may be found within her own body -- in vital stem cells, which can now be harvested from her own menstrual blood.

Now, thanks to the revolutionary research and technology of C’elle, a service dedicated to providing women with a safe and easy method of collecting and preserving stem cells found in her menstrual fluid each month, even the busiest woman can take control of her future, right in the privacy of her own home. With C’elle’s non-invasive collection process, menstrual cells are processed and cryo-preserved (stored at a very low temperature) for potential cellular therapies that may be used in the future. These self-renewing cells one day may even be used for sports medicine or cosmeceutical treatments, such as anti-aging therapies.

"C’elle enables and empowers a woman to take control of her future health, and possibly of those genetically closest to her, in a fast, painless and stress free way," said Michelle Kay, Marketing and Sales Manager for C’elle. "We live in exciting times, as science and technology are discovering how extremely valuable menstrual blood stem cells really are, and the enormous treatment potential they represent for future therapies. C’elle’s ongoing research is supporting these promising findings."

For more information about C’elle, please call 1-877-892-3553 or visit http://www.celle.com/.

Article from CNNMoney

The article above describes a new easy method of collecting and preserving stem cells found in her menstrual fluid each month in a very non-invasive way. Evidently this process is fast, painless and for the fast past woman, the perfect way for science to find new cures for diseases. Diseases, such as, osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, may be found within her own body and her cells will be preserved for her family to use at a future date. This sounds so wonderful for families who have these deadly diseases and maybe for a future cure for all. I also understand that the same cells could help with anti-aging therapies!

I have seen family members die from heart disease and strokes and even though medical science has come a very long way, I believe we need to look a bit further with this particular technology. The use of menstrual fluid is the perfect solution and so easily found. I know a lot of women don't have the time because of their hectic lives, but this seems to be the best way and you can do this right in your own home. It doesn't get any better than that.

I hope someday we will be able to cure all diseases and maybe with this new procedure, it's a step in the right direction. Please call C'elle for more information today.

Stories That Make Me Cry and Smile

What kind of stories do you like best? Tear-jerkers? Happy endings? Unexpected twists? Or all of the above?

It's funny that this blog prompt came up today, because the story below is a certain "Happy Ending, tear jerker" story that I love to hear about. This short video is patritism at it's best and one of the things that brings tears to my eyes and a smile on my face at the same time.

More than 1,200 US troops serving in Iraq signed up for extended service in the military to mark America's national day on the 4th at the spacious Al-Faw palace of dictator Saddam Hussein near Baghdad airport.

The US military has regularly re-enlisted service members in Iraq but Friday's swearing-in was one of the largest, the military said.

It's sad that you don't see stuff like this on the news and have to see it on the internet. What's wrong with a media that doesn't support our men in uniform?

BlackHawk SERPA Tactical Holsters

I don't know about you guys, but I just love all that police stuff you can buy in stores. LA Police Gear is a great place to find items at.

One of the items I have been looking at is Blackhawk holsters at LA Police Gear. These are great holster that offers unequaled speed and comfort, with the security of our patented SERPA locking system. The SERPA holster allows a rapid draw when the pistol is needed and locks securely upon reholstering. Nothing to strap, snap or rotate, it's automatic.

Check out the BlackHawk SERPA Tactical Holsters at LA Police Gear today.

My Thoughts and Reviews of this post

Living Room Window and Sad News

What I last saw out of my living room window.

I last saw my beautiful butterfly garden and my poor husband mowing the yard in this heat. I also saw my beanstalk/tomato plant broke in half and new I would have to pull the plant out of the ground and put it out of its misery. The tomato plant did us well and we had a good crop from it. I think next time I will grow smaller tomatoes instead of the Big Bertha variety.

I also want to show off a layout I did with a lot of Heather Manning's kits! I love mixing and matching kits with tons of elements and Heather's kits are just beautiful. You must go by and check out her store out here. I have been wearing glasses now for 50 years and what better subject to scrap about than that item that hangs on my nose.

Now to the sad news. It was announced over the weekend that UGA VI had passed away!! This is major tragic news for the Bulldog nation.

You ask, what is UGA VI?? Well, he is the University of Georgia's mascot. UGA is and has been one of the most famous mascots in the US!!

Uga VI became the school's mascot in 1999. He was the son of Uga V, the only college mascot to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated. He was only 1-year-old when he replaced his father as the public face of the university's athletics.

"Uga VI, the bulldog that represented the University of Georgia during two Southeastern Conference football championships, died from congestive heart failure at his home in Savannah, the dog's owner said Saturday", reported from Fox news.

A new UGA will be announced at a later date and I betcha his name will be UGA VII. GO DAWGS!!!!!!!
